Ikimonogakari’s “Best” album tops charts again after eight weeks away!

Breaking through sales of 1 million copies last week, pop unit Ikimonogakari’s first ‘best’ album, “Ikimonobakari ~Member’s BEST Selection~”, has ranked number 1 again for the week of January 17th, 8 weeks after their last number 1 ranking for the album on November 22nd.
The last such album “comeback” was a year and nine months ago, when the March 2009 release of “DO YOU DREAMS COME TRUE?”, by DREAMS COME TRUE, resurfaced to top charts after only two weeks away on April 13th.
As of this week, sales of “Ikimonobakari” amount to 40,000 copies, which totals just over 1,080,000 copies sold to date.
Ikimonogakari’s song ”Arigatou“, which the group performed at NHK’s 61st Kouhaku event, is currently ranking in at #11 (last week at #15) and clocked in at sales of 177,000 copies.
